第一次來台北，卡住的通常不是「有什麼好玩」，而是「該住哪一區、怎麼從機場進市區、捷運到底怎麼搭最省」——這篇用帶過外國朋友玩的在地視角，把分區、必去、交通與住宿一次講清楚。
台北市其實不大，靠捷運幾乎能到所有熱門點，所以與其硬排景點，不如照「區塊」來規劃：一天集中玩一到兩區、少走冤枉路。信義區是最現代的一塊，台北 101、百貨群、象山步道都在這；想看城市夜景，傍晚爬象山（免費，約 20–30 分鐘登頂）拍 101 是 CP 值最高的行程之一，101 觀景台在 89 樓，天氣好時可上 91 樓戶外平台。往西走，台北車站、總統府、中正紀念堂都在中正區，再往西一點就是萬華與西門町——西門町是年輕人與觀光客最愛逛的徒步區，電影街、刺青、潮牌、小吃集中，旁邊的龍山寺與剝皮寮則是老台北文化重點。大稻埕（迪化街）適合買南北貨、茶葉與伴手禮，老屋改造的店很好逛；中山區則是文青咖啡、選物店與小型藝廊聚集地，適合放慢腳步的半天。至於吃，大安區被視為台北的美食大本營，永康街商圈聚集了牛肉麵、小籠包與各式甜點，而士林夜市是外國旅客最熟悉的夜市，適合安排一個晚上。
